The St. Georgenhof through the ages
In 2025, St. Georgenhof can look back on an eventful history and at the same time look forward to a promising future. The new operator, Roland Arnold from Aichelau, has taken over the farm from the Bruderhaus Diakonie and will continue to run it as a leisure center.
Big names have also left their mark on the facility's past: Johann Georg Schneider, a “feisty farmer”, built the farm in 1863. The subsequent owner, the Reutlingen factory owner Alfred Schradin, commissioned the architect Paul Bonatz to construct a building including stables, and the Berlin lawyer and banker Robert von Mendelssohn turned the farm into a refuge for his family and acquaintances from 1930.
