The ground-breaking ceremony for Hall 4 at PARAVAN GmbH marks the start of the construction of a further 5,500 square metres of development and production space at the Pfronstetten-Aichelau Mobility Park. In future, the hall will not only produce innovations, but also realise industrial projects in the field of drive-by-wire technology for renowned vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and technology companies from all sectors for the vehicle construction of the future; from autonomous applications, remote driving and platooning to teleoperated driving.
The development and production hall consists of three levels with underground car park, production, office, development, design and production. All three levels are accessible via a (car) lift. In order to optimise the expansion of operations, an intermediate building will be erected as a direct link between Hall 3 and Hall 4.
"The expansion of the production areas is an important milestone for PARAVAN GmbH in securing the location here in Aichelau. It is an important investment in the future for all of us," says Roland Arnold, owner, Managing Director and founder of PARVAN GmbH. "With the new space, we are well equipped for the future. This is particularly good news for our customers: the capacity expansion will create further important jobs in Aichelau and further expand the vertical range of manufacture." The production processes can now be further developed and organised more efficiently. With the expansion, the next generation has enough space and resources to revolutionise the entire vehicle industry with its unique drive-by-wire technology.
"After the Next Mobility Campus in Franz-Arnold-Straße, where a unique training and development centre for customers, partners and suppliers, events, networking and panel discussions is currently being built, this was the next logical step," adds Kevin Arnold, Managing Director of Arnold NextG GmbH. The Next Mobility Campus also includes an innovative fitness studio for our employees, physiotherapy with state-of-the-art medical treatment equipment such as shock waves, ultrasound, electrotherapy and laser therapy, rounded off by medical foot care. "At the same time, the extension offers our development and design department sufficient space to realise conversions for the automotive industry, from individual prototypes and development vehicles to small series, from passenger cars to heavy-duty vehicles, regardless of platform," continues Kevin Arnold.
"The Paravan company is not only a beacon for the municipality as its largest employer, but also because of its innovative strength," says Mayor Reinhold Teufel. "We have paved the way for this expansion with a local development concept developed together with the local population and are now delighted with Roland Arnold's courage to not only think about the future in challenging times, but also to invest!"
The shell construction work is scheduled to begin in mid-May. Timber construction is due to start in September so that the building site is closed before the onset of winter and the cold season can be used for the interior work.
