PARAVAN GmbH will be represented on 80 square meters of exhibition space with the topics of mobility and electric wheelchairs at IRMA - the leading trade fair for people with disabilities, wheelchair users, seniors, people in need of care & relatives in northern Germany - from May 5 to 7, 2022 at the Hamburg Congress Center CCH. The world market leader for individually adapted vehicle conversions in the handicap sector will present a sustainable inclusive approach with numerous new conversion solutions and product innovations, from vehicle conversions to innovative wheelchair solutions - especially for children - as well as with various hand-operated devices.
"For us, IRMA is a very important leading trade fair in the north and a pleasant must-attend event at the same time. We are pleased that it can finally take place again in 2022 after three years and that we can once again talk to customers and interested parties in person on site," says Alexander Nerz, Head of Marketing at PARAVAN GmbH. "The event is an excellent networking platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences within the industry and at the same time an important showcase for our customers in the north."
PARAVAN GmbH will present an impressive section of its holistic product and mobility world at this year's IRMA and provide an insight into its current product portfolio. Among them are many innovative new products that can be customized to the individual customer's complaint, from simple mechanical driving aids to highly complex self-driving solutions with space drive and joystick. As a co-exhibitor also represented at the booth, the Pforr Mobility GmbH as an important cooperation partner for the Space Drive installation in the north of Germany. In addition to proven PARAVAN products, the following new products will be presented:
- The VW T6.1 Extended PARAVAN conversion with a lowered vehicle floor for more headroom for larger wheelchair users. The show car is also equipped with the Space Drive driving and steering system, including two times two-way joysticks for accelerator, brake and steering, as well as a cassette lift for barrier-free entry into the vehicle with a wheelchair.
- Alternative drives and e-mobility for people with disabilities, using the example of the Ford Tourneo Custom as a self-driving hybrid solution, also with a cassette lift, a newly designed barrier-free interior concept and the freshly redesigned PARAVAN transfer console on the driver's side, which makes it easy to transfer from the wheelchair to the driver's seat in the vehicle. The Ford Tourneo Custom is available with a classic combustion engine or alternatively as a mild or plug-in hybrid.
- The complete range of wheelchairs from PARAVAN GmbH, from the PR 35/ PR 35S, specially developed for child care, to the PR 50 power wheelchair approved as a driver's seat, to the premiere of the new all-rounder PR 30/II wheelchair, will be on display and ready for testing.
- PARAVAN GmbH also has a new product to present on the control unit market. The Multimote, a universal multifunctional control knob, flexible in use, whether on the steering wheel or on the handset. This gives the user full control of the most important secondary functions without having to take his hand off the steering wheel.
In the conventional sector, PARAVAN GmbH will be presenting a number of new products, such as the VW T6.1 Extended with significantly more headroom, which will be on show at IRMA, or the new VW Caddy V self-driving solution, which unfortunately will not be on show live at the exhibition stand, but which visitors will be able to find out about. In addition, electromobility and autonomous driving play an important role as topics for the future. "Here, too, we are working on some standardized solutions, such as the Peugeot E-Traveller or the Ford Tourneo Custom as a hybrid solution," reports Nerz. "The inquiries are increasing significantly. A lot will happen in these areas in the coming years. Our task is to ensure that development is also inclusive. That applies with a view to electromobility, as well as to the charging infrastructure."
Important questions here are: What advantages does this type of drive bring for mobility for the disabled and what risks does it pose? Can accessibility in the car be guaranteed if the driver wants to drive in front of the steering wheel with a wheelchair. Will ranges and a payload of 3.5 tons be sufficient?
Our mobility experts are waiting for you at IRMA in Hall H on Stand B20 to advise you on everything to do with mobility for the disabled, from individual solutions to driving school training. IRMA marks the starting point for PARAVAN's on-site presentation at numerous trade fairs and congresses this year. "We're looking forward to presenting our mobility solutions live again and engaging in conversation with customers outside of our PARAVAN mobility center in Pfronstetten-Aichelau," says Nerz.
