- Ford Tourneo Custom: Attractive driver and passenger solution for wheelchair users, flexibly adaptable
- PARAVAN PR 4X: World premiere of the all-wheel drive off-road wheelchair - extreme off-road capability for maximum freedom
- Get in, feel and drive for yourself: PARAVAN Driving School invites you to test drive a customizable driving school vehicle outdoors.
At REHACARE Düsseldorf from September 25 to 28, 2024, PARAVAN GmbH will be presenting its holistic mobility concept on 150 square meters - from vehicle adaptation and the comprehensive electric wheelchair portfolio to the Space Drive driving and steering system, which enables people with severe mobility impairments to drive a vehicle independently. The focus here is on the PARAVAN principle of “everything from a single source”. Visitors can immerse themselves in the PARAVAN product world at a compact stand. In the outdoor area, they will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a PARAVAN driving school vehicle and “experience” their personal mobility. A special highlight is the product premiere of the all-wheel drive off-road wheelchair PR 4X. The PARAVAN mobility consultants and driving instructors will be available to answer your questions during the trade fair. Visit us in Hall 6, Stand 6C55.
“The focus is on the customer, who wants to be mobile independently and ideally without the help of others. We want to show them concrete solutions,” says Alexander Nerz, Head of Marketing at PARAVAN GmbH. “Our 360-degree approach is ideal for ensuring comprehensive advice and care.” The support begins with the search for the optimal solution, the choice of the right vehicle or wheelchair, the application to the cost bearer through to the conversion and adaptation. If a technical assessment or driving school training is required, the PARAVAN driving schools in Aichelau and Heidelberg are ready to help. The PARAVAN mobility consultants accompany the customer from the initial consultation through to delivery.
Ford Tourneo Custom and Peugeot Traveller: customizable driver and passenger solutions
The focus of this year's vehicle presentation is the PARAVAN Ford Tourneo Custom as an attractive self-driving platform, equipped with floor leveling from the A-pillar to the C-pillar, a cassette lift and the PARAVAN seat console. The flexible vehicle, with an interior height of 1.42 meters, offers comfortable headroom for a wide range of driver and passenger solutions and can be customized to meet individual needs, from simple steering assistance to the Space Drive driving and steering system with customized input assistance. "We are always looking for practical and affordable vehicle alternatives that can be customized for as many customers as possible," says Joachim Glück, mobility consultant at PARAVAN GmbH. "The Ford Tourneo Custom may be a good alternative. We are very excited about the first feedback from our customers.
The popular PARAVAN Peugeot Traveller is also celebrating its comeback at Rehacare. After only being available as a battery-powered vehicle last year, it is now also available as a facelifted version with a powerful diesel engine and the Allure equipment line. It can now be ordered from PARAVAN with lowering from the A-pillar to the C-pillar, cassette lift and seat console. Other customization options include the Space Drive driving and steering system with input devices, a light steering system, an accelerator ring, and a variety of handheld accelerator and brake controls.
On the outdoor area of REHACARE, below Hall 6, a Mercedes Sprinter multi-conversion will be on display, demonstrating the extensive PARAVAN product portfolio with the Space Drive drive and steering system with various input devices, the linear lift system in the rear, the PARAVAN cassette lift, the PARAVAN transfer console, the PARAVAN docking station and the PARAVAN touch and voice system for operating secondary functions in the vehicle.
Versatile PARAVAN power wheelchair range: Product premiere of the off-road model PR 4X
With the PARAVAN PR 4X, the mobility experts are presenting a new family member in the wheelchair portfolio for the first time. The extremely all-terrain off-road wheelchair in a class of its own has been developed by the wheelchair team in recent months. The robust all-wheel wheelchair with extra-large wheels, four 320-watt motors and two 97 Ah batteries was developed for demanding terrain - ideal for use on the beach, in rough terrain or in the mountains when the going gets a little steeper. “The aim of the development was to provide customers with 'more freedom' and thus enable them to take part in small adventures or leisure activities,” says Stefan Ludwig, Head of Wheelchair Systems.
In addition to the product premiere, the entire PARAVAN wheelchair range will be presented - a central component of the 360-degree approach alongside the individual mobility solutions. From childcare to the all-round PR 30/II wheelchair with standing, reclining and tilting functions to the heavyweight Heavy Duty for people weighing up to 300 kg - compact and modular, developed to meet the needs of customers. With the PR 4X, the PARAVAN wheelchair family has grown to nine models for very different target groups. With the wide range of possible uses, users are mobile in their leisure time or at work and, with the PARAVAN PR 50, also in the car as a driver's seat.
“For the user, the power wheelchair is a life companion that must be perfectly tailored to them and their individual needs, absolutely reliable and suitable for everyday use in their respective life situation.” Depending on the symptoms, head and chin controls as well as special push aids, rain canopies or storage tables are available for a relaxed everyday life. All models have an armrest that can be adjusted in up to 12 positions and can be customized with various arm cushions. This also applies to the color scheme of the upholstery, which ranges from dinosaur green to red and elegant matt black. All wheelchairs are manufactured in Germany, with manageable delivery times. Five sales representatives support sales, which is mainly carried out via cooperating medical supply stores. “This is a key component of the holistic mobility concept and our claim to supply everything from a single source,” says Joachim Glück, Head of Vehicle Sales. “Together with the PARAVAN wheelchair team, we can offer a complete solution, from individually adapted barrier-free vehicles to customized wheelchair solutions.”
PARAVAN driving school: Get in and drive off
The PARAVAN driving school will also be present on the outdoor area. Visitors can take a test drive in a PARAVAN driving school car on the outdoor area in front of Hall 6. Driving instructors Ralf Buhmann and Carsten Seidler will be on hand to answer visitors' questions: Can I really drive a car? What do I need to get a driver's license? What is the best solution for me? Among other things, the PARAVAN driving school vehicle, a Mercedes Sprinter, will be on hand. It can be used to cover almost 95 percent of symptoms without major modifications and, in addition to the Space Drive driving and steering system, is also equipped with a camera system with environment recognition, which enables training with a restricted field of vision. The possibilities are diverse and range from simple hand-held devices or multifunctional knobs to highly complex vehicle adaptations.
