At REHACARE 2025, PARAVAN will bring mobility to life. Visitors will experience firsthand what is possible with the right solutions, whether they are testing a wheelchair, getting into a car, or taking a test drive.
Get in, try it out, and experience freedom! PARAVAN GmbH is bringing mobility to life at REHACARE 2025 in Düsseldorf from September 17 to 20. At its 70-square-meter stand (A84) in Hall 6, everything revolves around experiencing and participating. Visitors can discover the latest wheelchairs and vehicle solutions and, above all, take a seat themselves — whether in an electric wheelchair or behind the wheel of the PARAVAN driving school car — to experience mobility firsthand. It's about feeling courage, trying out self-determination, and experiencing freedom in a practical way.

Mobility means independence, and sometimes one experience is enough to begin a new chapter in life. At REHACARE, visitors can experience just that with a free test drive of the PARAVAN driving school vehicle, which can be flexibly adapted to different needs. This state-of-the-art vehicle can be adjusted to accommodate around 90 percent of all conditions, ranging from simple hand-held devices to the digital Space Drive system.
PARAVAN driving instructor Ralf Buhmann will accompany participants, helping people with disabilities regain their mobility for many years. "Many come with the thought: Can this really work? And then they drive back with a smile on their face," says Buhmann. "That's exactly the moment when you feel: Yes, it works — and yes, I can do it." If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, you can schedule an appointment now: Fahrstunde REHACARE 2025
Experience vehicles live, from compact to spacious.
In addition to offering test drives, PARAVAN will present a diverse portfolio of vehicles in Hall 6 that are designed for the needs of wheelchair users, whether they are drivers or passengers.
The highlight is the new Peugeot Traveller. After a long absence, the vehicle is once again available with a combustion engine — the last electric version offered was not suitable for individual conversions. The Traveller is equipped with a cassette lift, a lowered vehicle floor for increased headroom, and a quick-release seat console that allows for easy switching between the driver's seat and a wheelchair. The vehicle is equipped with the digital Space Drive system and can be precisely controlled via a joystick, mini steering wheel, or gas-brake slider. This feature is complemented by the intuitive PARAVAN touch and voice control system. Additional options, such as light steering, a gas ring, and hand controls, allow for customization. "We are very pleased that the Peugeot Traveller is available again," says Joachim Glück, team leader for vehicle sales. "It was a highly sought-after solution, especially in terms of value for money."
Alternatives on display in the outdoor area include the Peugeot Rifter, which has standard rear entry and is ideal as a compact everyday vehicle, and the Ford Tourneo Connect. The Tourneo Connect offers versatile applications as a flexible platform and is also an alternative to the Traveller. PARAVAN thus offers a wide range of mobility solutions, from family cars to spacious self-drive options.
Try out our wheelchairs — technology that moves you!
The PARAVAN wheelchair family is also represented, including the compact PR 35 S children's wheelchair, multifunctional models with standing, reclining, and tilting capabilities, and the PR 50 — the first electric wheelchair with EU approval as a car seat. The portfolio is rounded out by the innovative PARAVAN Biolution with biometric joints and the sturdy PR Heavy Duty, which is designed for individuals with a high body weight.
All models have a modular design and can be adapted to everyday life, the workplace, or vehicle use. Additional equipment, such as head or chin control, a storage table, a pushing aid, or a rain canopy, expands the range of possible uses. "A wheelchair must be reliable, comfortable, and tailored precisely to the user's life situation," says Stefan Ludwig, Head of Wheelchair Systems at PARAVAN. Wheelchairs are sold through medical supply stores and supported by a nationwide field service team. On request, they are sold in conjunction with PARAVAN's individual vehicle solutions. "The PARAVAN PR 50 is the perfect complement to our conversions, providing a comprehensive mobility solution," explains Joachim Glück.
A 360-degree approach: Get everything from a single source.
At PARAVAN, mobility extends beyond the trade fair stand. The company provides its customers with comprehensive support, from the initial consultation to selecting the right vehicle or wheelchair, assisting with the application process, and offering individual conversion and driving lessons. "Our 360-degree approach means you get everything from a single source, tailored to your personal situation," explains Alexander Nerz, Head of Marketing at PARAVAN GmbH. "Anyone who has ever sat behind the wheel or driven a PARAVAN wheelchair immediately senses what is possible — and that provides incredible motivation and courage to pursue their own path to mobility."
