In 2018, Schaeffler Technologie AG & Co. KG (90 percent) and Roland Arnold (10 percent) founded the joint venture Schaeffler Paravan Technologie GmbH & Co. KG with the aim of advancing the Space Drive drive-by-wire technology and the development of mobility systems. Roland Arnold provided decisive development impetus here in recent years and contributed his experience to the further development process as CEO of the company until October 2022. Now, as planned, the Space Drive pioneer has withdrawn from the joint venture in order to concentrate fully on the further development of new mobility concepts in the field of mobility for the disabled. New challenges await to make the car of the future also inclusive and accessible to additional user groups. PARAVAN continues to be the exclusive partner for the Space Drive System in the field of mobility for the disabled. In addition, PARAVAN GmbH is now again 100 percent owned by Roland Arnold.
