- Peugeot Traveller back in the range after facelift - presented as a versatile platform for vehicle conversions for the disabled
- Complete PARAVAN power wheelchair portfolio with solutions for every life situation - from compact everyday companions to heavy-duty variants
- Live outdoor experience: PARAVAN Driving School with test drives in a converted vehicle and a wheelchair course to take part in and test.
At REHAB 2025 in Karlsruhe from 22 to 24 May, PARAVAN GmbH will be presenting its entire portfolio of mobility solutions for people with disabilities - from getting into a vehicle to individually adaptable power wheelchairs and the Space Drive digital driving and steering system. In Hall 2, Stand C26, visitors can expect a barrier-free trade fair experience on 100 square meters - both indoors and outdoors. The products can be flexibly adapted to different restrictions and needs and can be tested in the outdoor area - for more mobility, more participation, more experience.
Comprehensive mobility solutions from a single source
A real trade fair highlight: the new Peugeot Traveller is back in the PARAVAN range following its facelift. At REHAB, it will be presented as a versatile platform for wheelchair-accessible vehicle conversions - in proven PARAVAN quality and individually adaptable to the needs of customers. Another highlight is the new outdoor wheelchair course, where the PARAVAN PR 50 and PR 40 wheelchairs can be tested under realistic conditions. The PARAVAN Driving School will also be there again, offering live demonstrations and outdoor test drives - for a self-determined life on the move.
"The focus is on the customer, who wants to be independent and mobile again, ideally without outside help. This is what our 360-degree approach stands for," says Alexander Nerz, Head of Marketing at PARAVAN GmbH. The support begins with a needs analysis and the selection of the right solution - including advice on applying for funding - and extends to the conversion and individual adaptation. Technical assessments or driving school training can be carried out at the mobility park in Aichelau or at the Heidelberg branch.
Vehicle solutions for independence and social participation
After a long break, the Peugeot Traveller is available again in an internal combustion version. The last available electric version was not suitable for individual conversions. At REHAB, the Traveller will be shown with a cassette lift, a lowered floor for more headroom and the Quick Seat Console for easy switching between driver's seat and wheelchair.
Equipped with the digital Space Drive system, the vehicle can be precisely controlled via joystick, mini steering wheel, accelerator/brake slider or other input devices - complemented by the intuitive PARAVAN touch and voice control system for secondary functions. Additional options such as light steering, throttle ring or handheld devices allow for customization. "We are very pleased that the Peugeot Traveller is available again," says Joachim Glück, Team Leader Vehicle Sales. "It was a very popular solution, especially in terms of value for money."
Also on the stand: the rear-access Peugeot Rifter, a compact vehicle for passengers or - if steps are still possible - as a self-drive solution. This model can also be customized in many details, is offered at an attractive fixed price and is available at short notice.
Versatile PARAVAN power wheelchairs for daily living, work and mobility
The individually adaptable PARAVAN power wheelchairs have a modular design and have been developed for different life situations - from everyday life and the workplace to use as a driver's seat in the car. In addition to childcare, PARAVAN offers robust heavy-duty models and wheelchairs with standing, reclining, and tilting functions.
"A wheelchair must be reliable, comfortable, and precisely tailored to the user's life situation," says Stefan Ludwig, Head of Wheelchair Systems. Optional features such as head or chin support, storage table, pushing aid or rain cover, as well as individual colors and armrests, round out the product line. Distribution is through medical supply stores, supported by a nationwide sales force. "The wheelchair is the perfect complement to our vehicle solutions - a one-stop mobility solution," adds Joachim Glück.
Experience what is possible - in the outdoor area of REHAB 2025
Under the guidance of driving instructors Ralf Buhmann and Carsten Seidler, the PARAVAN Driving School invites you to get behind the wheel of a converted vehicle. Questions about obtaining a driver's license or the right technology are answered on the spot. The highlight is the flexibly adaptable PARAVAN driving school car, which can be adapted to around 95 percent of all restrictions without major modifications - from simple hand controls to digital space drive controls. The outdoor activities are complemented by test opportunities on the wheelchair course with the Paravan PR 40 stand-up wheelchair and the PR 50, which can also be used as a driver's seat and is an integral part of the holistic Paravan mobility concept.
Talks, exchanges and personal encounters - live at PARAVAN
"For us, REHAB is one of the most important leading trade fairs in the field of rehabilitation, therapy and integration - and an important industry meeting point for southern Germany," says Alexander Nerz. "It offers us a strong platform for direct exchange with customers and trade visitors. This is why REHAB has been a permanent fixture in our trade fair calendar for many years.
On Thursday, May 22 at 3 p.m., Daniel Weber will give a 30-minute talk on the main stage entitled "Mobile & Independent - Your way to a driver's license". On Friday, May 23rd at 11:30 a.m., boxer and brand ambassador Ardian Krasniqi will talk about motivation, mobility and independence - including an autograph session.
