13th Paul Pietsch Classic: More than 100 classic cars visit Paravan in Aichelau

For a few hours, the Aichelau Mobility Park became a showcase of automotive history—in a place where a fascination with the automobile has been driving innovations for greater mobility for more than 25 years.

Classic cars, precision driving, and numerous visitors: The Aichelau Mobility Park was part of the 13th Paul Pietsch Classic on Friday. More than 100 historic vehicles passed through the special stage and checkpoint at Paravan during the first stage of the rally.

The traditional classic car rally took participants from Motorworld Region Stuttgart in Böblingen across the Swabian Alb to the Danube Valley. On the approximately 280-kilometer-long first stage, Aichelau was one of the event’s official checkpoints. Here, the drivers had to demonstrate their skills in a special stage where precision and consistency were key, rather than speed.

For visitors, this presented an extraordinary sight: vehicles spanning nearly seven decades of automotive history rolled through the Mobility Park. Among the vehicles on display were rare pre-war cars, classic sports cars, and historic sedans. Also in attendance was World Cup champion Guido Buchwald, who took the starting line in a Porsche 911. The special stage at the Aichelau “ ” was won by the team of Peter and Cornelia Seßler in a 1991 BMW M3 E30 convertible. The duo also led the overall standings after the first stage.

For a few hours, the Aichelau Mobility Park became a showcase of automotive history. From the 1947 Veritas RS to the Porsche 911 Turbo, the full spectrum of automotive development was on display. For participants, visitors, and classic car enthusiasts, the Paul Pietsch Classic thus offered a special glimpse into more than seven decades of automotive history.
