"PARAVAN is only as good as its employees," emphasized Roland Arnold, Managing Director and founder of PARAVAN GmbH, at this year's employee awards ceremony. It was therefore a matter close to his heart that this year, despite the recent Corona wave, the award actually took place, albeit under somewhat different conditions than in previous years. After last year's event had been cancelled, a total of 17 employees were honored for their commitment to PARAVAN GmbH.
For the year 2020, Bernd Steinhilber, Irmgard Ströbel, and Artjom Müller were honored for 20 years of service, Stefan Ludwig, Florian Hermann, Vitalij Kleebaum, and Heike Schumm for ten years. In 2021, there were again a number of anniversaries. Blagoj Paunov has been with the company for 25 years, almost from the beginning. Norbert Hein, Alexander Knaub and Pawel Nikiel were honored for 20 years, Joachim Glück, Andrea Buck, Alexander Nerz, Svenja Hörmann, Marcel Sauter and Manuel Betz for ten years. Many of the PARAVAN employees have been with the company since their apprenticeship.
In some cases, they have been working at the Aichelau mobility forge, which has made it its mission to help people with physical disabilities regain their mobility, since the company was founded. "What we produce here is not just a customized vehicle, but quality of life," says Arnold. "Through the dedication and ingenuity of our employees, our customers gain independence and freedom they wouldn't otherwise have. They can go back to their jobs and participate in social life."
Marketing manager Alexander Nerz surprised CEO and founder Roland Arnold with another very special prize. The magazine CEO Today honored the tinkerer from the Swabian Alb this year with the HealthCare Award. This is an international award that recognizes people who are committed to the healthcare industry in a very special way. In addition to Roland Arnold, BioNTech CEO and founder Ugur Sahin was also among the award winners, for example.
